Oferta Laboral y Transferencias Condicionadas - Evidencias del Programa Tekopora

Resumen


Mediante el método Propensity Score Matching, el artículo evalúa los efectos del Programa de Transferencias Monetarias Condicionadas Tekoporã de Paraguay, en la oferta laboral de los participantes. Para el efecto, se utilizaron dos bases de datos de la Dirección General de Estadística, Encuestas y Censos (DGEEC) y se comparó los resultados de grupos de participantes con grupos de control.

El programa no tuvo efectos significativos en la oferta laboral. En lo que respecta a los adultos, esto implica que las transferencias percibidas no modifican sustancialmente al salario de reserva, para inducirlos a abandonar el mercado laboral. Por otro lado, la falta de efectos en el trabajo infantil significa que el programa es una herramienta insuficiente para reducirlo.
